Careers in customer service
The first stage of your career starts here and what a great training ground! You will be providing exceptional service to existing customers (or policyholders as theyâ€™re also known), to make sure that any problems or queries are resolved quickly and professionally. No two calls are the same and they can range from changing drivers on a policy or taking a payment to simply explaining to a customer more details about their policy. You must be a real people-person, and of course a natural with customers whilst enjoying working in a fast-paced environment!
I first heard of Hastings through friends at college who thought it was a great place to work. Iâ€™d worked in a similar type of call centre, but it wasnâ€™t a great place and we werenâ€™t treated particularly well. Hastings was completely different from day one. I started in customer service on a part time basis and then went on to full time.
Since joining, Iâ€™ve learned important customer-related skills, which have helped me in all aspects of life. We are customer focused and do everything we can to keep customers well looked after at Hastings.
